Conference Call: PR Opportunities and Best Practices at Interop
The PR and Marketing teams conducted two calls for exhibitors to discuss marketing and public relations benefits for the event. If you missed either call—held July 23 and August 27—you can access recordings by logging in to the Exhibitor Services portal.
PR Strategy & Counsel

Access to the Media List
The Interop New York media list is now available for download in the Exhibitor Services portal. This list will give you the opportunity to coordinate on-site interviews and meetings with pre-registered press, analysts and bloggers prior to the event. The media list will be updated each Friday leading up to the event, so be sure to check the Exhibitor Services portal weekly.
*PR agencies will need to obtain login information to the Exhibitor Services portal from their client for access to the media list.*
Inclusion in Official Press Release
Thank you to all exhibitors who provided a submission for inclusion in the exhibitor announcements press release, which is issued one week prior to the event on Monday, September 23. The opportunity to participate has now closed.
Meeting Space for Media Briefings
Media Center Location
Meeting space for media briefings is available on-site for exhibitors
who have secured meetings with the media, but pre-reservation requests
are now closed. To make reservations onsite, visit the welcome desk in
the Media Center.
Reservations will be available on a
first-come-first-served basis with a time limit of three hours per
day/per exhibitor, in order to make this benefit available to all
Please note that the Media Center may only be used by exhibitors when accompanied by a member of the media. For each meeting, one attendee must be registered as media and the other must be a registered exhibitor or speaker.
The Media Center is located in Room 3D01 on the third floor of the Javits Convention Center, the same level as the Expo.

Exhibitor Press Collateral Area
Exhibitors can leave their press kits in the Media Center beginning the first day of the event, September 30. There will be an area for press kits, or any other special items you'd like to make available to the media in attendance. CDs, jump drives and other creative company information are always appreciated.

Develop an effective media relations strategy for the event using the Guide to Engaging the Media, which provides recommendations for organizing media relations efforts at Interop New York.
Press Release Guidelines
Interop owns its brands and content and must approve any third party use of its brands and content. If you plan to write a press release about your exhibitor announcement, sponsorship, or other activities around the event, please follow these guidelines:
- Event boilerplate should be included in the press release (see boilerplate below).
- The date and location of the event should be included in the first paragraph: Interop New York is happening September 30 - October 4, 2013 at the Javits Convention Center.
