Access to the Media List

The Interop New York media list will be available for exhibitors beginning Friday, August 31, 2012. This list will give you the opportunity to coordinate on-site interviews and meetings with pre-registered press, analysts and bloggers prior to the event. In order to access the media list on this date, please login to the Exhibitor Portal and access the Event Tasks section. Under the PR Opportunities tab you will find the task to "Download the media list." Once available, the media list will be updated each Friday leading up to the event.

*PR agencies will need to obtain login information to the Exhibitor Center from their client for access to the press list.*

Inclusion in Official Interop Press Release

Thank you to all exhibitors who submitted a new product/service description for inclusion in the official Interop Exhibitors Announcement press release. The deadline to participate has now passed. This release will cross the wire on Monday, September 24.

Meeting Space for Media Briefings

Meeting space for media briefings will be available onsite for exhibitors who have secured meetings with the media. This space is available for pre-reservation in half hour and one hour increments. In order to make your pre-reservation request, please send an email to:  and include the following information: your name, media outlet, name of exhibiting company, date, time, and duration of meeting. Subject line of email should include reference to Interop. The last day to reserve a meeting space before the show will be September 27, 2012. After that date, reservations can be made on a first-come-first-serve basis on-site at the Media Center.

Please note that the Media Center may only be used by registered exhibitors when accompanied by a member of the media. For each meeting, one attendee must be registered as media and the other must be a registered exhibitor or speaker.

The Media Center will be located in the 4B Terrace and will be open during the following hours:

Tuesday, October 2 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Wednesday, October 3 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Thursday, October 4 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Exhibitor Press Collateral Area

Exhibitors can leave their press kits in the Media Center beginning the first day of the event, October 1. There will be an area for press kits, or any other special items you'd like to make available to the media in attendance. CD's, jump drives and other creative company information is always appreciated.

Press Release Guidelines

Interop owns its brands and content and must approve any third party use of its brands and content. If you plan to write a press release about your exhibitor announcement, sponsorship, or other activities around the event, please follow these guidelines:

  • Event boilerplate should be included in the press release (see boilerplate below).
  • The date and location of the event should be included in the first paragraph: Interop New York is happening October 1-5, 2012 at the Javits Convention Center.
  • If you would like to include a quote from Interop GM, Jennifer Jessup, send your release and suggested quote for review and approval to Joylyn Tanner at jtanner@techweb.com. Please allow 24-48 hours turnaround time.
  • If you have any questions regarding release guidelines or need additional information, please contact Joylyn Tanner.
