Press Registration Information

Online press registration is no longer available. If you are a media representative or analyst interested in attending Interop New York 2008 as press, please register onsite in the Media Center. In order to qualify for a press pass to the event, please review the required credentials below.

As a "Thank You" to all media who register for Interop, we have opened press access to Mobile Business Expo happening simultaneously at the The Javits Center, September 16-19, 2008. By registering as press, you automatically gain press access to all events, for a unique look into the most powerful innovations and solutions the industry has to offer.

Required Credentials for Press, Analysts and Bloggers

To qualify for a complimentary media pass for Interop New York 2008, the applicant must cover the industry on a regular basis by writing regular reports or publishing relevant articles on the industry that are not solicited by an exhibiting company and are not confidential. Private consultants who are paid by an individual company are not eligible for a media pass, and should request a pass from the sponsoring company. Additional information on requirements for press, analysts and bloggers is as follows.

One of the following credentials must be presented in advance of Interop New York before media registration can be approved. Before proceeding, please review titles accepted / not accepted.

Trade/Business Publications; Online/News Services

Reporters from industry trade publications, newspapers and wire services must provide a sample of an article published within the past six months that clearly displays authorship.

Industry Analysts

Writers from internationally recognized market research or financial institutions who consistently write for regularly published newsletters and/or reports must provide a sample of an industry-related report published within the past six months that clearly displays authorship.

Online News Outlets

An online news outlet must contain original news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader contributors, and have a readership of over 1,000 per month. Each news outlet must have a paid reporting staff of two or more and most post original, dated, industry-related news at least once per week.

Association Publications/Newsletters

Reporters from internationally recognized magazines, newspapers or newsletters produced by industry associations must provide an article published within the past six months. Newsletter reporters must have a registered subscriber base of at least 500.

Freelance Writers and Authors

Persons requesting freelance credentials must provide an article published within the past six months. Those who freelance occasionally and are employed by non-news organizations are not eligible for media credentials.

Bloggers

Bloggers must cover the industry on a regular basis and must have written on the business technology industry within six months of requesting a media badge. Blogs must contain original, dated, industry-related news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader contributions, and have been in existence at least one year before media badge request. No corporate or personal blogs will be considered.

Note: Press credentials are reserved for editorial staff and analysts. Press credentials will not be issued for publication and research employees with the following types of titles:

We reserve the right to refuse media badges, without cause, during pre-registration as well as onsite media registration. Please be advised that, due to high demand, media badges are limited in number. Only commercial news outlets and major analyst firms will be issued media badges.

Media Center Hours and Briefing Rooms

Meeting rooms for individual press briefings will be available by reservation in the Media Center during the event. Press meeting rooms can be reserved in 1/2 hour or one hour increments for exhibitors who have secured meetings with press/analysts during the event. Last day to pre-reserve a room was September 11th. Now, all room reservations can be made on a first-come-first-serve basis at the event.

Tuesday, September 16: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 17: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 18: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday, September 19: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The Media Center may only be used by registered exhibitors, representatives, press and analysts. For each meeting, one attendee must be registered as press (jounalist/analyst) and the other must be a registered exhibitor. For more information, please contact
