Enterprise Cloud Summit
Location: Room 1E11
In the last two years of Enterprise Cloud Summit, we've tracked the evolution of utility computing from technical novelty to core IT strategy. On the public side, cloud providers now offer robust, proven solutions and boast hundreds of enterprise customers. On the private side, cloud technologies—from big data models to turnkey cloud stacks—are transforming how we build and run private infrastructure.
This year, we'll move from discussing the what and why of clouds to the how: emerging design patterns and best practices, keeping data private in public places, economics justification, and real-world lessons learned. Also, in a new addition to the ECS curriculum, major public cloud providers will respond to our shortlist questionnaire, giving attendees a practical, side-by-side comparison of public cloud offerings. It's two foundational days on utility computing no IT professional should be without.

Enterprise Cloud Summit – Private Clouds
Monday, October 3, 2011, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
The first day of Enterprise Cloud Summit will look at how cloud technologies from big data and turnkey cloud stacks are transforming private infrastructure. The fundamentals of cloud architectures and the leading private cloud stacks will be discussed. Attendees will also hear end-users tackle the "false cloud" debate and look at the place of Platform-as-a-Service clouds in the enterprise.
Looking for an in depth look into the challenges that come with a new virtual infrastructure and the move to private cloud computing? Interop's Virtualization Management workshop is the place for you.
Enterprise Cloud Summit – Public Clouds
Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 9:00am – 4:30 pm
The second day of Enterprise Cloud Summit will review emerging design patterns and best practices, and discuss keeping data private in public places. We will explore the economics of cloud computing with a focus on end-users' actual experience with clouds. And, new to the program, major public clouds will respond to our shortlist questionnaire, giving attendees a practical, side-by-side comparison of public cloud offerings.
