Cloud Computing and Virtualization
Over the last few years cloud computing has gained publicity and attention across enterprise IT as a clear path to cost efficiency and greater agility. Clouds offer access to resource models that were difficult or impossible to obtain in the past, including auto- and self-provisioning, elastic scaling, and cost-effective disaster solutions and use of Big Data.
However, cloud computing is becoming a complex topic, now including complex hybrid and multi-cloud solutions. This includes mixing and matching virtualization technology in support of public and private cloud deployments. You can leverage virtualization as either as a component of a cloud, or as a way to bring more efficiency to the data center as stand-alone technology.
