As technical director, networking technologies at Savvis, Matthew Laslie works across all Savvis business unit lines to drive innovation and development activities surrounding a unified technology strategy. Matthew’s role includes the evaluation of new and existing technology and the development of solutions that provide opportunity for market differentiation and product development prioritization.
With Savvis, Matthew has played an integral role in the network architecture and design of the company’s Hosting Area Network, as well as the network architecture, design and automation of Savvis’ Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC) cloud computing product.
Matthew joined Savvis in 1999 and spent 10 years as a network engineer before moving into his current position. Prior to joining Savvis, he worked as a network engineer and technician for 3Com and WorldCom.

Christopher “Kip” Turco serves as senior vice president of data center operations for Windstream Hosted Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing operations, engineering, sales and marketing.
A seasoned executive with a successful track record leading operations in high growth environments, Turco previously served as chief operating officer at Hosted Solutions where, during his tenure, the company more than doubled in revenue and sold for $310 million after only two and a half years. Prior to that, Turco was the senior vice president of operations and engineering at Motricity, a leading provider of mobile data solutions. While at Motricity, Turco restructured all engineering and operations elements to successfully scale the business from $35 million to over $100 million over a two-year period. Prior to Motricity, he was a general manager for SunGard Availability Services, a provider of information availability solutions. As general manager with SunGard, Turco was responsible for P&L, regional sales and marketing, providing data center and managed services.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Turco was commissioned as an Infantry Officer and later became a platoon leader and rifle company commander with the United States Army for the 10th Mountain Division and 25th Infantry Division respectively. CCF Speaker - Simon Aspinall, Senior Director, SP Data Center and Mobililty Solutions, Cisco Systems  As Senior Director, Cisco SP Marketing organization, Simon Aspinall leads teams that are responsible for marketing of Cisco’s mobility and data center solutions to Telecoms, Cable, Media and Broadcast customers worldwide. The team is responsible for developing, launching and driving successful marketing campaigns across the entire product range for Mobility and SP data-centers (including the evolution towards SP cloud computing). Aspinall is a frequent speaker at industry events and a commentator on the IT, telecoms, and networking sectors.
Before Cisco, Aspinall spent eight years at Mercer Management Consulting, a firm providing management and financial consultancy to the worldwide telecoms sector. Aspinall was also the founder and non-executive director of an Internet incubator with operations in five countries. He holds an MBA (Insead) and a master’s degree in Engineering & Computer Science (Oxford University). CCF Speaker - Geoff Hollingworth, Head of IP Services Strategy, Region North America, Ericsson
Geoff Hollingworth, Head of IP Services Strategy for Region North America, is responsible for driving Ericsson’s next generation end user IP services in the United States and Canada. Ericsson is helping architect a networked society where anything benefiting from a connection will have one.
Previously, Hollingworth was responsible for overseeing the Ericsson brand in North America. Before that led Ericsson’s next generation multimedia initiative to drive the three screen experience for the Volvo Ocean Race. He joined Ericsson more than 20 years ago and has held roles in software R&D, mobile network deployment and was director of Marketing for Ericsson in North America. Hollingworth has been based in London, Stockholm and Dallas.

Prior to founding CloudSwitch, Ellen was Vice President of Marketing at Netezza (NYSE: NZ), the pioneer and global leader in data warehouse appliances that power business intelligence and analytics at over 200 enterprises worldwide. As a member of the early management team at Netezza, Ellen helped grow the company to over $125 million in revenues and a successful IPO in 2007. Ellen defined and created broad market acceptance of a new category, "data warehouse appliances," and led market strategy, product marketing, complementary technology relationships and marketing communications.
Prior to Netezza, Ellen founded Manna, an Israeli and Boston-based developer of real-time personalization software. Mr. Drumgoole spent several years as a consumer of outsourced IT solutions as the director of Electronic Brokerage Operations for TD Waterhouse where he oversaw the team responsible for the deployment and support of one of the largest retail financial services platforms in the United States. He has also served in a number of development and line positions with IBM and MasterCard International.
Mr. Drumgoole studied information systems at Pace University in New York, NY. He currently resides in Miami, Florida with his wife Vanessa. |
