John Lax

Vice President of Information Systems, International Justice Mission

John Lax serves as Vice President of Information Systems for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems.

Before joining IJM in 2007, Mr. Lax most recently worked for Intuit as Director of Product Development for their real estate solutions division in Cleveland, Ohio. In that position he was responsible for product management, engineering, quality, as well as their global data center operations. IRES has software products running in over 40 countries. He also worked with the youth and mission ministries at Fellowship Bible Church, organizing and participating in several youth mission trips outside the U.S.

Mr. Lax has served as Vice President of Product Development for Primewire, and Vice President of Global Research and Technology for Sales Technologies/Synavant in Atlanta, where he oversaw global operations. Mr. Lax also worked in Silicon Valley for about 12 years for major software companies. During this time he and his wife, Sheila, were active with youth and missions at their local church.

As the Vice President of Information Systems for IJM, John is responsible for strategic planning covering integration of global resource to meet global needs, enterprise application integration of multiple diverse packages, network management and procurement of technical assets.
