Conference Call: PR Opportunities and Best Practices at Interop
The PR and Marketing teams will conduct a call prior to the event for Interop Las Vegas 2012 exhibitors to discuss marketing and public relations benefits for the event. The call date and time is TBD and will be updated here shortly.
PR Strategy and Counsel
The Interop PR team is available to assist you with any questions or issues you may have regarding your PR strategy before or during the event, including tips on contacting press and analysts, as well as PR advice based on industry events and topics at Interop that will be of interest. Inclusion in Official Interop Press Release
Interop offers an amazing audience to target for your company's new product or service announcement and welcomes an impressive and accessible blend of press, analysts, exhibitors, and attendees. If your company is planning on making an announcement leading up to or at Interop Las Vegas 2012, we can help you increase the exposure through an April 30th press release detailing exhibitor announcements at the event. Details on how to participate in this opportunity are coming soon. The deadline for inclusion is Friday, April 20th. If you would like to participate in this opportunity but not release specific details of your announcement, we can also accommodate you.
Meeting Space for Media Briefings
Pre-reservation requests for meeting space for exhibitors who have arranged briefings with press/analysts during the event will open April 9, 2012. More details on how to make pre-reservation requests will be available at this time. The last day to reserve a meeting space before the show will be May 3, 2012. After that date, reservations can be made on a first-come-first-serve basis on-site at the Media Center.
Please note that the Media Center may only be used by registered exhibitors when accompanied by a member of the media. For each meeting, one attendee must be registered as media and the other must be a registered exhibitor or speaker.

Exhibitor Press Collateral Area
Exhibitors can leave their press kits in the Media Center beginning the first day of the event, May 7, 2012. There will be an area for press kits, or any other special items you'd like to make available to the media in attendance. CD's, jump drives and other creative company information is always appreciated.
Access to the Media List
The Interop Las Vegas media list will be available for exhibitors beginning Friday, April 6, 2012. This list will give you the opportunity to coordinate on-site interviews and meetings with pre-registered press, analysts and bloggers prior to the event.
In order to access the media list on this date, please login to the Exhibitor Center and access the Event Tasks section. Under the PR Opportunities tab you will find the task to "Download the media list." Once available, the media list will be updated each Friday leading up to the event.
*PR agencies will need to obtain login information to the Exhibitor Center from their client for access to the press list.*
Guide to Engaging the Media
Develop an effective media relations strategy for the event using the Guide to Engaging the Media, which provides recommendations for organizing media relations efforts at Interop Las Vegas.
Press Release Guidelines
Interop owns its brands and content and must approve any third party use of its brands and content. If you plan to write a press release about your exhibitor announcement, sponsorship, or other activities around the event, please follow these guidelines:
- Event boilerplate should be included in the press release (see boilerplate below).
- The date and location of the event should be included in the first paragraph: Interop Las Vegas 2012 is happening May 6-10 at the Mandalay Bay.
- If you would like to include a quote from Interop GM, Lenny Heymann, send your release and suggested quote for review and approval to at . Please allow 24-48 hours turnaround time.
