Special Awards

(Chosen from All Category Entries Above)

Any hardware, software or service in any of the above categories will be evaluated to see whether they meet the criteria for consideration for the Best Startup Company award. To be considered, the vendor cannot have existed as an independent company prior to January 1, 2013, and the company cannot have previously been considered for a Best Startup Company award. This winner is chosen from among all entries of Best of Interop and is not a category that can be selected within the nomination form.

An overall Grand Prize Winner award will be given to the category winner judged to have the single most significant new product or service at the show.

The Audience Choice Award will be determined by attendees of the Keynote Address on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2014. We will conduct a live poll and attendees will be allowed to choose their favorite from amongst the 2014 Category Winners. The result will be announced immediately upon completion of polling.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

You are welcome to submit a new version of an existing product but keep in mind that the judges are often looking for revolutionary products rather than evolutionary products.

Our judges review each entry that meets the criteria for inclusion in each of the categories. Based on the judges' review, three finalists are selected in each category. Finalists are required to teleconference with the judges prior to the start of Interop Las Vegas to cover the specifics of their product or service. Remote product demos, slides and briefings are all appropriate for these teleconferences. This conference is not optional. Our judges will choose the Category Winner.

The Audience Choice Award will be determined by attendees of the Keynote Address on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Entry Criteria

To enter the Best of Interop competition, a vendor must be a primary exhibitor at Interop Las Vegas 2014 (March 31 – April 4). Companies that only have booths as part of Partner Pavilions may not participate in the Best of Interop awards program. Further:

  • Products or services are not eligible if they were announced prior to August 1, 2013.
  • Eligible products must be available for public viewing in your booth at Interop 2014 in Las Vegas. This will be personally confirmed at the show.

  • No product may be entered in more than one category.
  • The judges reserve the right to change the award category of the product submission.
  • Pricing information must be included with the entry since it is an essential part of the judging criteria. Entries will not be considered if pricing information is not included with the entry — no exceptions.
  • A product news release must accompany completed entry forms (a preliminary draft is acceptable).

To be considered for nomination, ALL entry forms must be received no later than Tuesday, February 18, 2014 - 3:00 PM PACIFIC. Please note that this deadline will not be extended. All entries must be made using the entry form available on this website and any submissions received after 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 will not be considered — sorry, no exceptions.

Appointments will be made on a first come, first served bases after finalists are selected. You will be contacted for an appointment when finalist notifications are made.
