Bio: I may be a Catholic priest, but that doesn't change the fact that I was first and formost an uberGeek facinated by the world of engineering and the promise of Information Technology. In my 15 years as a Jesuit I have been stationed in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Milwaukee, San Jose, San Francisco, Berkeley, Phoenix, Seattle, St. Louis, Sucre/La Paz/Santa Cruz/Cochabama (Bolivia), Guaymass (Mexico), Manila (Philippines), Xiamen/Beijing (China), Saigon/Dalat/Hue/Hanoi (Vietnam), and a dozen other cities. To each assignment I brought my passion for tech and left each location just a little more technologically advanced than when I found it.

|
Bio: Known to the InteropNET Team as Haggis, James Brown was born December 21, 1939 and passed from our world on April 17, 2009. The only volunteer to have a nickname before he started, “Haggis” was a spry jovial Scottish geek that lit up every room he was in. He felt honored that someone his age would be chosen for the team and worked hard so that he would never disappoint his fellow team members. This was especially true as he would bound after ITM’s young enough to be his grandchildren. His infectious laughter and ready banter would amuse one and all as we all learned to listen to the brogue, even as it got thicker as we exercised our elbows toasting anything that came to mind. His smile and stories will be missed by one and all and I’m sure that the lord’s network is being tended by one of the best.

Bio: Attended University of Wisconsin multiple times. Graduated June 1986 and moved to Orlando Florida where I went to work for Walt Disney World Epcot Center as a Laser Engineer. After 3 years on payroll I quit and started consulting for their Corporate Entertainment division where I did design work for corportate theater including Theme, lighting, and music. As the industry and economy changed I began to focus on systems and system control and architecture.
I eventually found myself designing infrastructure, both wire and fiber and installing and troubleshooting the systems that ran on that infrastructure. Interop became very important to me as a source of answers and knowledge for everyday problem solving, and I have been involved ever since.
