Prior to joining Harvard Business Publishing in 2008, Ken was an entrepreneur and held a number of management roles in startup organizations. He was vice president of Business Development at GetSolo, a customer loyalty and brand company and was the founder and CEO of Portrait Challenge Inc., a web based services company that helped non-profit, charity and grass-roots organizations raise funds and build brand loyalty through web-based programs. Ken has over 20 years of technology-related business management experience. As an early team member of Centra Software, a leading enterprise collaboration provider, Ken deployed and managed systems and network services for multiple global locations, led the development of customer access and service initiatives and was responsible for transforming Centra's business vision into technical reality. Earlier in his career, Ken held management positions at Cambridge Technology Group, Open Environment Corporation and OneWave, Inc. He holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Sean Jacobsen leads the Production Support teams at a Seattle-based online Brokerage, where together his team helped successfully improve the application-response rankings of the brokerage service. With a heavy emphasis on "customer" Sean has been an evangelist for application performance management solutions. Sean has a 20-year history of operations excellence with retail, telecom, online, and financial services. With an emphasis on and tenacity for the customer experience, Sean works with a highly collaborative leadership team focused on best-in-class delivery. Prior to the Brokerage, he provided technology leadership to Onvia, a Seattle-based dot-com specializing in the information space. Prior to Onvia, Sean served in leadership and engineering roles supporting US West and REI.

Jesse Rothstein is the CEO and co-founder of ExtraHop Networks. Jesse’s technical vision and expertise in enterprise networking provide ExtraHop with a competitive edge in the industry. With a world-class team behind him, Jesse is responsible for the technical architecture of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance platform as well as the vision for growing the business.
Jesse co-founded ExtraHop after a six-year tenure at F5 Networks where he was a Senior Software Architect and co-inventor of the TMOS platform. Jesse was the architect and project lead for the BIG-IP v9 development effort and the technical lead for frameworks, clustering, and performance. Prior to F5, he worked in product development at Motive Communications and the Trilogy Development Group.
Jesse specializes in designing and implementing high-performance networking products. Jesse holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Rice University.

Chuck has over 20 years of experience in transactional application architecture with the past 10 years focused on application scaling and performance management. Most recently, Chuck was instrumental in building the field technical team and taking the dynaTrace APM solution to market in North America. Chuck’s background includes engineering and management roles at Sun Microsystems and Informix Software. Chuck has worked with hundreds of companies including some of the largest e-commerce companies in the world to help them manage transactional performance and solve complex application problems. Chuck is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Field Technical Services at Compuware Corporation.

Matthew Morgan is global senior director of Product and Solution Marketing for IT Performance Suite, Applications at HP. He leads the global marketing organization responsible for the Applications product family, including HP Application Lifecycle Management, HP Project and Portfolio Management, HP Quality Center, HP Performance Center, HP Application Portfolio Management and HP Service Virtualization.
Approximately 100,000 users across the globe currently use these solutions and virtually all Fortune 500 companies use them as their foundation for application transformation and modernization initiatives.

Morgan has 19 years of experience in the quality and application life cycle management industry. His tenure includes 10 years at Mercury Interactive, where he led worldwide Product Marketing for all quality management products.
In his time at Mercury, Morgan was instrumental in commercializing product solutions, including QuickTest Professional, Business Process Testing and Quality Center. Prior to Mercury, Morgan was chief marketing officer of Blueprint, where he spent four years leading worldwide Product and Corporate Marketing initiatives.
Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of South Alabama.

Isaac is currently the Director of Mobile at ShareThis, Inc. ShareThis powers the social web, touching the lives of 95% of U.S. Internet users across more than 2.3 million publisher sites and 120+ social media channels. Most recently, Isaac was the co-founder of Socialize, Inc which was acquired by ShareThis in March 2013. Prior to Socialize, Isaac co-founded PointAbout, a mobile development consultancy which built apps for companies like Disney, Cars.com and Washington Post. PointAbout was acquired in May 2011. Previously he lead efforts to bring XM Radio's satellite business to the web.

Jon Rooney is the Director of Developer Marketing at Splunk. Before Splunk, he held marketing and product management roles at Microsoft, working on several developer platform offerings (Windows Azure, Silverlight, ASP.NET). Previously he worked at a handful of venture-backed startups in San Francisco and stockpiled air miles as a consultant at Accenture back when it was still Andersen Consulting. He has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Leinwand is currently VP and CTO, Cloud Platform and Infrastructure at ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE: NOW), the Enterprise IT Cloud Company. In this role, he is responsible for leading the teams developing and operating the company’s Platform-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service offerings.

Before joining ServiceNow, Mr. Leinwand was Chief Technology Officer – Infrastructure at Zynga, Inc. In this role Mr. Leinwand was responsible for all aspects of technology infrastructure used in the delivery of Zynga’s social games including data centers, networking, compute, storage, content distribution and cloud computing.

Previously, Mr. Leinwand was a venture partner for Panorama Capital, LLC where he focused on technology investments in data networking, open source software and cloud computing. Prior to this role, he joined JPMorgan Partners as an operating partner in 2004. In 2005, Mr. Leinwand founded Vyatta (acquired by Brocade), the open-source networking company.

From 2001 to 2004, he was President and Co-founder of Proficient Networks, Inc. From 2000 to 2001, he was Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Telegis Networks, Inc. In 1997 Mr. Leinwand joined Digital Island, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISLD) at inception and served as their Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer through the company's IPO and secondary offering.

From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Leinwand served as Manager of Consulting Engineering and Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems, Inc. helping to build and engineer service provider and enterprise networks worldwide. He co-authored "Cisco Router Configuration" and "Network Management: A Practical Perspective" and has been granted a patent in the field of data routing. He currently is an Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Berkeley where he teaches the subjects of computer networks, network management, and network design.

Mr. Leinwand holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Robert Holcomb, VP of Performance Engineering at SOASTA, has more than 13 years of experience in enterprise software, with expertise in performance engineering, software business intelligence and technical consulting/professional services. Prior to SOASTA, Rob held positions in Sales Engineering and Consulting, Product Strategy, and Product Management at Oracle (PeopleSoft), Istante Software, and Sagent Technology. Rob graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Finance, with honors, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, with honors.

Bryon Colaizzi has more than 23 years of Testing, Quality Assurance, and Application Development expertise on variety of technical platforms. Bryon holds certifications from the International Institute for Software Testing as a Certified Test Manager, and from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional. He has a demonstrated record of leadership and project management, with extensive experience with life-cycle methodologies. Focusing on process improvement and procedure development within the software testing and quality assurance areas, Bryon has successfully lead reengineering efforts for organizations, transforming their software development, testing processing, and tool implementation initiatives. Bryon is currently responsible for managing Paychex's Enterprise Performance Assurance Organization, and has presented technical papers at SAS's Executive Technical Briefing Center on Testing Techniques & Methodologies.

Jeremy is currently the Lead Site Reliability Engineer for Netflix, the largest subscription video streaming site in the world. Previously he was the Information Cowboy (aka. Head of Technology) for reddit.com, an online community for sharing and discussing interesting things on the internet that did more than a billion pageviews a month. reddit was an Alexa Top 100 website whose entire operations are run on Amazon’s EC2. Jeremy has spent 15 years in technology: 4 in operations, 3 in security, 4 in consulting, and 4 in academic computing. When working for Sendmail, he helped administer the most bleeding edge Sendmail server on the internet; at eBay he helped protect people from phishing and scams, created patent-pending fraud detection software, and evaluated hardware for the eBay platform; and at UC Berkeley, he wired up large portions of the dorms for internet, back before every college student in America had a net drop in their room. Jeremy has keynoted at conferences such as PyCon and Cloud Connect. He holds a Cognitive Science degree from UC Berkeley.

Paul Burns is the President and Founder of Neovise, an IT industry analyst firm focused on cloud computing. He has over 25 years experience in the technology industry with leadership positions in software development, product management, product marketing, competitive analysis and business planning.

Azmir Mohamed has more than 20 years experience delivering datacenter and enterprise campus infrastructure products. Prior to joining Cloudscaling, he was Sr. Director, Product Management at Abiquo, a hypervisor agnostic enterprise software solution that enables organizations to leverage their existing virtualized infrastructure to enable IaaS. While at Abiquo, he was responsible for driving their product roadmap plus collaborated with their strategic technology partners in building automation, billing, compute and storage infrastructure integration.

Previously, he was held various senior product management roles at VMware, where he was responsible for defining market and product requirements for VMware’s proliferation, backup and storage replication product portfolio. During his time there, he was responsible for bringing the vSphere Replication, VMware Data Recovery and VMware Server products to market. Azmir was also spent 9 years at Cisco System where he had a variety of product management and technical roles in the multi-billion dollar Cisco Catalyst stackable switches business unit.

Azmir has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.

Prior to founding Unify2, Sonu was the Director of Program Management/Group Program Manager for the Office Communications Server team at Microsoft, where he drove the roadmap, technical feature set, and execution for the OCS Server product line including Live Communications Server 2005, Office Communications Server 2007, and the roadmap for the next two releases of Office Communications Server. Sonu led the OCS Program Management team responsible for the feature set, feature design and technical specifications for all Server aspects of OCS. He drove extensive customer feedback from dozens of global enterprises into the technical design of OCS.

Most recently, Sonu was the Director of Technical Strategy and Partnerships for OCS, where he led technical roadmap and delivery for the Open Interoperability Program and Microsoft's partnerships with Nortel, Cisco, and other IP-PBX vendors.

Sonu has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science, he invented the first time-optimal self-stabilizing spanning tree algorithms for asynchronous computer networks.

Sonu co-invented Enterprise Instant Messaging as co-founder of Flash Communications, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1998 to seed its enterprise Real-Time Collaboration efforts starting with Exchange 2000. Sonu holds four patents in Real-Time Collaboration, including the first-ever patent for enterprise Instant Messaging. He is the co-author of Internet RFC 2779.

Terry Slattery, CCIE #1026, is a senior network engineer with decades of experience in the internetworking industry. Prior to joining Chesapeake NetCraftsmen as a full time consultant, Terry was the founder and CTO of Netcordia, and inventor of NetMRI, a suite of network management products. Terry started Netcordia as a consulting company in 2000 and transitioned to a network management product company in 2003. During the consulting days, he used his network design and implementation skills to lead a team in the design and implementation of a high availability network at a brokerage clearing house. Terry is the former President and founder of Chesapeake Computer Consultants, Inc., a networking and computer systems training and consulting company. He co-invented and patented the vLab(tm) internet-based remote lab system. He is co-author of the McGraw Hill text Advanced IP Routing in Cisco Networks. Terry led the team that developed the current Cisco IOS user interface under contract to Cisco Systems. Terry is experienced in the design and installation of large TCP/IP based networks and is a successful network protocol instructor. He is the second Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) #1026 and the first outside of Cisco. He enjoys membership on the Vanderbilt University Engineering School’s Industrial Advisory Board and the IEEE. Terry is also co-inventor of patent 7,616,579, "Voice Over IP Analysis System and Method", issued 11/10/09.

Mark has responsibilities across several functions at Switch. He will be maintaining his industry thought leadership activities and will also be working with the Switch team on new data center technologies, partnership development and cloud. Ron is a 25 year veteran of the construction industry with a primary focus on Mission Critical Facilities. Roy is the Tower Lead for Wipro Technologies, and is responsible the design, build and implementation strategies for Global Clients. With over of 10 years at EDS and CSC Roy has progressed from Technical Consultant to Solution Architect to his current position. During this time Roy has successfully been involved in all aspects of the Data Centre including storage, servers, backup, archive, DC LAN, virtualisation, monitoring and management for both Transition and Transformation.

Prior to joining EDS Roy was in the British Military for 13 years Serving in the Royal Artillery Regiment and Tri Services Uni.

Jon Hudson has been a part of the IT industry for 17 years, working as a Network & SAN Engineer, in IT production operations, as a UNIX and security specialist, and now for Brocade as a technical advisor to the company’s largest enterprise clients. Jon brings experience from many perspectives including SAN, LAN, UNIX, VMware and most aspects of IT. He has worked in a variety of industries including gaming, high performance computing and Financial verticals in the areas of data center operations, virtualization and emerging technologies.

Steven Iannetta is a Network Engineer and a team member of the Network Architecture Team with Progressive Insurance. As part of his role he is challenged with staying up to date with current technologies and looking up to 3 years ahead and setting the direction for the network platform as well as being engaged in a cross platform fashion to see how the network will have to evolve to accommodate future challenges. Over the last decade he has played a major role on the network team that has evolved the data center from designing and implementing a new data center, migrating an existing data center, decommissioning data centers, as well as retrofitting existing data centers. He has been a key network resource for many cross platform projects including server and client virtualization, Next Gen x86, WAN Optimization and application delivery, Data Center Network Upgrades, Big Data, IPv6, and just about any other data center environment you can think of.

Peter brings 25+ years of experience in the application development field to Universal Mind, having worked on a wide range of applications from data warehousing to online photo sharing sites.

Since 1995, he has been working with web development technologies. At the Eastman Kodak Company, he served as software architect for two of Kodak's leading online retail offerings. Most recently, he served as the presentation layer software architect for Kodak Gallery where he made extensive use of Flex, AIR, HTML5, iOS, and Android technologies to help Kodak customers share their memories across a wide range of devices.

As a solutions architect at Universal Mind, Peter brings his broad base of technical and business consulting skills to work for our clients. He is always interested in learning new application development technologies and sharing those learning experiences with others. He is active in several development user groups where he regularly speaks on web and mobile application development technologies.

Under Edgar's leadership, Wi-Fi Alliance has steered an unprecedented period of market growth, and Wi-Fi has become the most popular and diverse connectivity technology. Edgar defined the Wi-Fi Alliance program development framework, and forged numerous strategic partnerships to facilitate the penetration of Wi-Fi into mass markets worldwide. Gib Sorebo is a recognized expert in assisting government and private sector organizations in their efforts to address cybersecurity risks and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Sorebo is a chief cybersecurity technologist and vice president for SAIC, where he is responsible for coordinating cybersecurity activities in the energy sector companywide and contributes to a variety of smart grid security research efforts.

Sorebo co-leads SAIC's Smart Grid Security practice. He established the SAIC Smart Grid Security Solutions Center for product security testing and solution development. Sorebo leads highly experienced technical teams in performing security assessments for commercial and government customers.

Most recently, Sorebo co-authored Smart Grid Security: An End to End View of Security in the New Electrical Grid, which explores the important techniques, challenges, and forces that will shape how we achieve a secure 21st-century electric grid.

Sorebo is a frequent speaker at national security and utility conferences such as the RSA Security Conference, CSI Annual Conference, Metering America, Autovation, and the FIRST Annual Conference, where he has given talks on a variety of security topics, including information security liability, Sarbanes-Oxley, e-discovery, smart grid security, incident response, and security breach notification.

Sorebo has been working in the information technology industry in both the public and private sector for more than 19 years, with direct experience with security consulting spanning the financial services, health care, and electricity sectors.

Sorebo’s work in the community includes active participation in the American Bar Association's Information Security Committee.

Sorebo holds a law degree from the Catholic University of America, a master's degree in legislative affairs from The George Washington University, and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Chicago.

Peter Rysavy is the president of Rysavy Research LLC, a consulting firm that has specialized in wireless technology since 1993. Peter is a leading international authority on the capabilities and evolution of wireless technology. He has written more than a hundred and thirty articles, reports, and white papers, and has taught forty public wireless courses and webcasts. He has also performed technical evaluations of many wireless technologies including cellular-data services, municipal/mesh Wi-Fi networks, Wi-Fi hotspot networks, mobile browser technologies, wireless e-mail systems, and social networking applications. Craig J. Mathias is a Principal with Farpoint Group, a wireless and mobile advisory firm based in Ashland, MA. He held several positions at Fujitsu ranging including IT management, engineering management and marketing strategy. Russ has also held high tech positions at Solbourne Computers, Qwest Telecommunications and the US Department of the Interior. Russ is a frequent contributor to InfoStor and Internet.com and speaks regularly within the SNIA community and at Storage Networking World events. A true Colorado native, a skier and outdoorsman, Russ holds BS degrees in Applied Math and Computer Science from the University of Colorado and an MBA in International Business and MIS, also from the University of Colorado.

Malcolm Rieke is the Director of Product Management at Catbird. Mr. Rieke has 20 years of information security design and management experience, including virtual infrastructure security design and implementation, network security design and management and corporate investigations and digital forensics. Mr. Rieke has developed security policy for major financial institutions and overseen their security audits. Mr. Rieke is a seasoned speaker on virtualization and cloud security. As Director of Product Management at Catbird, Mr. Rieke has provided the vision and requirements for Catbird’s award-winning virtualization security product: Catbird vSecurity®. He thought-leadership articles on innovative ways of securing the new data center have been printed by major publications in the field and he is a regularly-invited subject matter expert speaker on Brighttalk’s Virtualization and Cloud Security channel. Mr. Rieke holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia.
