Applications
Applications and application management are core component of information technology. In recent years there has been increased reliance on applications for business activities in many organizations. The availability of cloud computing along with ever growing expectations from customers and internal personnel for the availability of feature rich, web and mobile capable, always available, and secure applications have increased the need for a focus on application management, monitoring, and governance.
The Interop Las Vegas 2013 Applications track will bring together some of the industry's best and brightest thought leaders to provide their ideas and experiences on successfully addressing the challenge of application governance, management, and monitoring. They will also discuss a number of other key concepts, considerations, and technologies that are essential to providing high quality, secure, and most efficient application capabilities. Sessions in the track will cover a broad range of application oriented topics from both a business and technology perspective delivered by practitioners, leaders, and leading vendors who providing solutions to address challenges in the application space. There will be some exciting and thought provoking sessions on topics including the journey of migrating applications to the cloud, case studies of application management, increasing visibility into applications, and the future of application delivery.

IP Architects, LLC
John P. Pironti is the President of IP Architects, LLC. He has designed and implemented enterprise wide electronic business solutions, information security and risk management programs, business resiliency capabilities, and threat and vulnerability management solutions for key customers in a range of industries, including financial services, energy, government, hospitality, aerospace, media and entertainment, and information technology on a global scale. Mr. Pironti has a number of industry certifications including Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Architecture Professional and (ISSAP) and Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP). He is also a published author and writer, highly quoted and often interviewed by global media, and a frequent speaker on electronic business and security topics at domestic and international industry conferences.

Speaker - Ken Griffin, Director, IT Services and Operations, Harvard Business School Publishing  Prior to joining Harvard Business Publishing in 2008, Ken was an entrepreneur and held a number of management roles in startup organizations. He was vice president of Business Development at GetSolo, a customer loyalty and brand company and was the founder and CEO of Portrait Challenge Inc., a web based services company that helped non-profit, charity and grass-roots organizations raise funds and build brand loyalty through web-based programs. Ken has over 20 years of technology-related business management experience. As an early team member of Centra Software, a leading enterprise collaboration provider, Ken deployed and managed systems and network services for multiple global locations, led the development of customer access and service initiatives and was responsible for transforming Centra's business vision into technical reality. Earlier in his career, Ken held management positions at Cambridge Technology Group, Open Environment Corporation and OneWave, Inc. He holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Prior to the Brokerage, he provided technology leadership to Onvia, a Seattle-based dot-com specializing in the information space. Prior to Onvia, Sean served in leadership and engineering roles supporting US West and REI. Speaker - Jesse Rothstein, CEO & Founder, ExtraHop  Jesse Rothstein is the CEO and co-founder of ExtraHop Networks. Jesse’s technical vision and expertise in enterprise networking provide ExtraHop with a competitive edge in the industry. With a world-class team behind him, Jesse is responsible for the technical architecture of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance platform as well as the vision for growing the business.
Jesse co-founded ExtraHop after a six-year tenure at F5 Networks where he was a Senior Software Architect and co-inventor of the TMOS platform. Jesse was the architect and project lead for the BIG-IP v9 development effort and the technical lead for frameworks, clustering, and performance. Prior to F5, he worked in product development at Motive Communications and the Trilogy Development Group.
Jesse specializes in designing and implementing high-performance networking products. Jesse holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Rice University.

Most recently, Chuck was instrumental in building the field technical team and taking the dynaTrace APM solution to market in North America. Chuck’s background includes engineering and management roles at Sun Microsystems and Informix Software. Chuck has worked with hundreds of companies including some of the largest e-commerce companies in the world to help them manage transactional performance and solve complex application problems. Chuck is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Field Technical Services at Compuware Corporation.

Matthew Morgan is global senior director of Product and Solution Marketing for IT Performance Suite, Applications at HP. He leads the global marketing organization responsible for the Applications product family, including HP Application Lifecycle Management, HP Project and Portfolio Management, HP Quality Center, HP Performance Center, HP Application Portfolio Management and HP Service Virtualization.
Approximately 100,000 users across the globe currently use these solutions and virtually all Fortune 500 companies use them as their foundation for application transformation and modernization initiatives.
Morgan has 19 years of experience in the quality and application life cycle management industry. His tenure includes 10 years at Mercury Interactive, where he led worldwide Product Marketing for all quality management products.
In his time at Mercury, Morgan was instrumental in commercializing product solutions, including QuickTest Professional, Business Process Testing and Quality Center. Prior to Mercury, Morgan was chief marketing officer of Blueprint, where he spent four years leading worldwide Product and Corporate Marketing initiatives.
Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of South Alabama.

Previously he lead efforts to bring XM Radio's satellite business to the web. Speaker - Jon Rooney, Director, Solutions Marketing, Splunk  Jon Rooney is the Director of Developer Marketing at Splunk. Before Splunk, he held marketing and product management roles at Microsoft, working on several developer platform offerings (Windows Azure, Silverlight, ASP.NET). Previously he worked at a handful of venture-backed startups in San Francisco and stockpiled air miles as a consultant at Accenture back when it was still Andersen Consulting. He has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
