Conference: Application Delivery 2.0 Track

Application Delivery 1.0 was characterized by the need to mitigate the impact of chatty protocols such as CIFS (Common Internet File System), to offload computationally intensive processing (e.g., SSL) off of servers, and to provide some level of visibility into the performance of applications. While those challenges still exist, a new set of challenges is driving Application Delivery 2.0. This includes the virtualization of servers and desktops, the adoption of public and private cloud computing, the need to support mobile workers and the need to support applications such as Unified Communications. This Application Delivery track will identify the challenges associated with both generations of application delivery and will discuss existing and emerging technologies that attendees can use to respond to those challenges.
